Why We Built Korture AI

We spent years hiring hundreds of people. Building marketing and growth teams at fintech startups. Launching new business ventures. The pattern was always the same.

Smart people joined. Smart people left.

Their exit interviews said the same thing: "I did not fit." Not performance. Not pay. Fit. Something invisible was off. And nobody was measuring it.

The Science Already Existed

We realized the science to understand this existed all along. It was just buried in academic papers and enterprise tools. 50+ years of validated research from industrial-organizational psychology. Holland's RIASEC model for work interests. Job Demands-Resources theory for understanding burnout. Psychological safety research on team dynamics.

All of it locked behind academic complexity and enterprise paywalls. We decided to dig it out.

The First Attempt: Building for Teams

Our first version was korture.com. A tool for teams. For HR. For People Operations. For founders who wanted reports on their people.

We tried this approach for 6 months. Built tools for teams. Ran pilots with companies. And learned something important: if the individual does not use it daily, the team tool becomes another unused dashboard.

The Pivot: Building for You

So we pivoted. From korture.com (for teams) to korture.ai (for you). A privacy-first tool that puts the science in your hands, not your employer's.

Every other tool in this space was built for HR teams. Nobody built for the person actually doing the work. We decided to be that tool.

What We Measure

Work Shape: How well your daily work matches your brain's natural wiring. Based on Holland's RIASEC model, validated for 50+ years.

Energy Reserve: The balance between job demands and your resources. Based on JD-R theory, the gold standard for understanding burnout.

Team Climate: Psychological safety in your environment. Based on Project Aristotle research on what makes teams effective.

The Honey Theory

Culture eats strategy for breakfast. We bring the honey.

Honey is what we call the hidden variables. The things that affect your work life but nobody measures. Most people rely on gut feel, experience, and expertise. Those are real. But they should not be the only reason to stay blind.

We are removing that layer. Making the science accessible. Putting it in your pocket. With an AI coach that speaks human, not jargon.

Start with the Interest Profiler. 7 minutes. 48 questions. See your Work Shape for the first time.
