Why we're building Sense.

Agents now write, plan and ship a growing share of the work. That changes what makes someone good at it. Less of it is doing every step yourself. More of it is judgment: what to hand over and what to keep, when to trust the result, what to check, when to stop.

From the outside, a strong engineer and a weak one directing the same agent start to look the same. From the inside it is hard to tell too. In METR's 2025 study, experienced developers using AI believed they had worked faster when they had worked slower.

So how do you know whether you are still good, getting better, or slipping?

Almost every tool around this work makes the AI do better work: better prompts and rules, reviews of its code, reports on your sessions so you can tune your setup. Engineering analytics report output to your manager.

They are useful, and you should keep them. None of them is aimed at you: whether your own judgment, taste and skill are growing.

Athletes have trainers, and something on their wrist that tells them how they slept and how hard they trained. Pilots have logbooks and recurrent training. People working with agents have nothing like that. Sense is that, for you, inside the work you already do:

• Measure: a number for every stretch of work with AI, in three parts, what you did, what you built and how you sounded, held against what good looks like, not only your own average.
• Understand: the patterns behind it, in your own words. Where you check hardest, what changes late at night, with a new model, or in code that is new to you.
• Improve: a credited lesson from people further along, a practice you choose, and your next readings show whether it held.

It works in Claude Code, Codex, Antigravity and Claude desktop, and the record is yours, not your employer's.

We are SK Prasad and Shishir Modur. We are not developers, and not experts in this field. We build our B2B products with agents. Doing that, SK started asking: am I becoming a better strategist, product owner, designer and copywriter, or is it just the agent?

What we are good at is working with people and never stopping learning, as good leaders do. So the expertise inside Sense comes from the people who know the craft, credited by name, and from your own work.

Developers feel this first, because agents reached their work first. The question is for anyone who works with AI.

• A grade on you as a person.
• A score your employer sees.
• A leaderboard, or a reason to use more AI.
• Something that claims to know more than it does.
